Sportsmanship is more important than winning

​We are trying to create a community, similar to what you would experience in your local school or chess club. Building a community online requires that ALL PLAYERS trust one another. 

It is critical to the success of this, and future online events, that YOU step up and respect your team-mates, your coaches, your parents, your club and everyone else who's reputation relies on YOUR behaviour during this event. Everyone would agree that winning is a far distant second to good sportsmanship in these events.

We expect an extremely high level of respect, integrity and sportsmanship from all players.

Here are some rules:
  • You may not participate anonymously, you must use your real name
  • You  must identify yourself (video & audio) if asked
  • No cheating. Not even a little bit. You are part of a community that relies on you
  • Cheating means glancing at chess books, accepting advice from a parent, looking at a chess engine or computer during your game ... only do what you would do in an over-the-board tournament
